Diet during pregnancy

Balanced and vaired

What to do?

Pregnancy is the perfect time to mend our ways by adopting a healthy, balanced diet and taking up good habits. Over the 9 months, you are responsible for your baby's diet to ensure his/her growth and development.

It is important to limit your intake of fatty and sweet foods, but these do not have to be avoided completely. Varying your meals will mean you don't get bored of a particular food and will enable you to vary your nutrient sources.

Smaller meals can aid digestion and lessen discomfort such as nausea and heartburn. Monitor your calorie intake; intake must moderately increase in line with foetal growth.
